A Letter from Lancette VanGuilder
Dear ADHA Member,
Our profession is changing, and so is ADHA! As dental hygienists, we face new challenges and opportunities in today's healthcare landscape, and ADHA is stepping up to meet those need in fresh, exciting ways.
What's New and Why It Matters to You
We've restructured our governance! As the annual House of Delegates that served our organization for a century and put us on the path to success comes to an end, we're putting YOU at the center of decision-making. Now, every ADHA member can directly submit policy ideas and bylaw suggestions to our Board of Directors year-round. Your ideas go straight to decision-makers and get reviewed quickly for faster action.
But that's just the beginning. Starting next year, YOU get to vote for two members who will serve on our new Governance Committee. This committee will help select future ADHA leaders, and your vote matters in shaping who represents your interests.
All ADHA Members Can Now:
• Submit policy suggestions directly to the board anytime online here.
• Vote for Governance Committee members who will help shape ADHA's future
• Email ideas, questions, or concerns directly to leadership@adha.net
• Find involvement opportunities that fit your passion and schedule here.
Looking Ahead Together
ADHA remains your largest membership organization dedicated to advancing dental hygiene, supporting your career, and protecting oral health for everyone. What's different is how we're working together to make it happen – faster, more inclusively and with your direct input driving our decisions.
With excitement for what's ahead,
Lancette VanGuilder, BS, RDH, PHEDH, CEAS, FADHA
ADHA President
